Born in 1988 at small town of Bintulu in the island of Borneo. I was baptized as a Roman Catholic with the name Patricia in 1993 together with my family. When I was 11, I received my first Holy Communion. Being raised in a Catholic family, I gave credits to my parents and Sunday School Teachers for my biblical and catechism knowledge. As a Catholic teenager, I got involved with church camps and seminars. But for me it was opportunity to sing, hang out with friends and of course to meet boys. The first time I was touched by the Holy Spirit was during my first Life in Spirit Seminar. I was 15. I was confirmed in the same year and chose the name Edna. She was a wife and a mother and I was sure that was my calling in life. Plus, her day of celebration was on my birthday 5th July.
Here, I’m trying to do something that I love the most. Which is to write. What else I could write about? Other than the lover of my soul, Jesus.
By the grace of God, now I’m also a writer by profession. Some people might say, work is work, vocation is vocation. I believe that our occupation is our vocation. Every person that we meet at work, even if in mere minutes is someone that God bring into our lives for a reason, even if some of us do not enjoy our work.
I strongly believe in God’s omnipotence. I believe God’s presence is everywhere. The biggest lie that the devil could tell is telling us God is not here with us. He is there when you kneel down in front of the altar praying to Him, He is there when you cry yourself to sleep in the middle of the night after a quarrel with your boyfriend on the phone, He is there when you taking shot of tequila in a smoky, poorly lit club.
Another reason I chose to blog about Jesus is because I believe internet is a gift from Him. But with cyber bullying, online suicide pack, and all the ugly things that happened on the internet, it is about time to claim the internet in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, on site at a time.
How did this blog was named Faithfully Writing is because no matter what happen in my life, good or bad, I want to faithfully write about Him and to Him, online or offline in my dusty, plastic covered journal.
And of course I want to share about faith, my ever changing faith, but it is still a faith that believes in Jesus Christ.
Welcome to my journey of loving and knowing Christ, Jesus the Saviour!
